Formats for Logos, Photos, Themes - awesome customized powerpoint backgrounds
I'm totally confused
If after reading through the information below you are totally confused, and you don't have a graphics dept. to help, then don't despair! Just email what artwork you do have and we will do our upmost to sort it out for you
Logos
In an ideal world the logo should be supplied to us as something called an .eps file. EPS stands for "encapsulated postscript". This is the best format to retain the quality. If this means nothing to you then show this page to your graphics department. If you cannot supply your logo as an eps then these are the other formats we can accept (in order of preference):
If your logo is in vector format:
- .CDR Corel Draw v10 (or any previous version)
- .EPSs files
- .AI files
- .PPT files
If your logo is in a bitmap format:
- .JPG
- .PNG
- .TIF
- .BMP
- .PSD
- .GIF
- .PPT
Photos
Whether scanned or straight from a digital camera these are the formats that we can accept:
In order of preference
- .JPG
- .PNG
- .TIF
- .BMP
- .PSD
- .GIF
- .PPT
Important Notes
Vectors
If you are supplying your artwork in a vector format (e.g. .eps .cdr etc), then it is important that you convert any special or uncommon fonts to curves/polygons, so that when we process your files we do not get any "font not present / font missing" errors.
Bitmaps
Because 90% of presentations these days, are screen-based or projected using LCD projectors, then generally the highest resolution is around 1024 pixels wide by 768 pixels tall. Please bear this in mind when submitting any scans or images. Just remember to make the image no wider / taller than around 1000 pixels. So please don't send any 300dpi letter sized scans!
My files are too big to email
Normally your files will email if they are smaller than 1mb. If they will fit on a floppy disk, then you should be able to email them. These are the things you can do if you're having trouble emailing your files
- If the files are bitmaps (photos, scans) then chances are they have too many pixels in them. Resize them using whatever graphics package you have, so that they are no more than 1000 pixels tall or wide. Then save them as .JPG files, as these are very small
- Send all your files as separate emails (instead of one email with 4 attachments), just put "file 1 of 4" in the subject line to help us know how many emails to expect
